This Sunday is the Third Sunday of Easter. The gospel gives the account of the encounter on the road to Emmaus with the risen Christ, who reveals himself in the Breaking of the Bread. It is an opportunity to reflect on the importance of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament, especially at the present time when so many must connect to the Eucharist from a distance by means of a Spiritual Communion.
Hopefully you will be able to participate in the Church’s worship at St John’s streamed online on our website and Facebook page.
Please note the services can be watched at any time after the links have been posted.
Attached is this Sunday’s pewsheet for you to use if you wish in order to join in online, making a Spiritual Communion.
Thank you those who sent in ‘selfies’ for Easter. It was wonderful to be able to see the faces of so many of our wonderful parish family as we offered the Eucharist. If you haven’t yet done so, you can still send your ’selfie’ for the forthcoming Sundays of Easter.
