A three-step roadmap for the gradual easing of restrictions on gatherings and various activities (including public worship) has been unveiled by the Federal and NSW State governments. The Archbishop has also issued guidelines for step one of the roadmap.
The Archbishop has determined that it is not yet time to re-introduce Sunday services.
However, we will be making provision for mid-week Masses with limited numbers (a maximum of ten with appropriate social distancing) from next week. If you wish to attend you will need to contact the office beforehand. The names of those attending will be recorded and retained for a month.
The church will also be open for private prayer for restricted numbers (maximum of ten) during office hours (9:30am to 1:00pm). If you would like to volunteer to help monitor the church during opening hours please contact the office (thank you those who have already offered).
We will continue to make available videos of the Sunday Mass celebrated at St John’s (without the public) for streaming on our website
as well as our parish Facebook page at
We hope you will continue to use this and participate fully in the worship at home, making a Spiritual Communion.
Please feel free to contact Father Steven, the office, or any of the clergy, wardens, or ministry team if you have any questions or concerns.
Please pray for the Archbishop, our civic leaders and the parish.
With every blessing,
