New Assistant Priest!! We were pleased to be welcoming Fr Paul West and his wife Sally and children Jessica and Dylan to our parish at the end of February. Fr Paul trained at Westcott House, Cambridge, in the UK. He has been the deacon and then assistant priest at St Matthew's, Albury, in the diocese of Wangaratta for the past two years. The Archbishop has made it a condition of his appointment that he undertakes a year's full-time study at Moore College, so his availability in the parish will be somewhat restricted this year. However, we are sure he will be a valuable addition to the parish and its mission, and we are happy to accept this condition for the sake of his future ministry with us. Please pray for Fr Paul and his family as they take their place in our parish family. Pray for him throughout this year of further study, that he is able to satisfy the requirements of his course and be free to minister full-time at St John's from next year. |
