Fourth Sunday of Advent – 20 December 20

Dear Friends,

You are no doubt aware of the cluster of Covid-19 infections on the Northern Beaches. The NSW Health has been in discussion with our Regional Bishop, Chris Edwards, saying they are working very hard to identify all venues in the Northern Beaches Local Government Area where people have attended whilst infectious, but there is a risk that there are people who have been exposed who are not yet aware as investigations and contact tracing continues, and so may attend places of worship whilst infectious.

They ask that for the next three days people residing in the area remain at home as much as possible whilst contact tracing identifies and isolates people at risk of spreading infection.

Accordingly, we will regrettably not be holding public services this Sunday, 20 December. However, we will livestream the 10am Mass without the public and also stream the planned Nine Lessons and Carols (again without the public), which will be available from Monday 21 December.

Please join us online this Sunday if you are able, using the attached order of service and making a Spiritual Communion. Please keep our parish family in your prayers that we, and all in our community, may be safe and that we may be able to gather in worship next week for the celebrations of Christmas and the birth of the Saviour.

With every blessing,

Fr Steven
