Fifth Sunday of Easter – 10 May Online Mass

Fifth Sunday of Easter

Dear Friends,Which of us does not keep in the depth of our heart a nostalgic longing for a home, a haven of peace and rest, a place where we can recover from life’s storms? Jesus was aware of this human longing. In preparing his disciples for his departure, he tells them he is going ahead in order to prepare a dwelling-place for them at their journey’s end.How strange are his expressions: ‘I am the way’; ‘I am the gate’ (Jn 10:7), spoken in anticipation of the Easter experience with the purpose of lighting up its deep significance! Jesus is our only way to the Father because, as the Truth, he is the full revelation of the Father. With every blessing,Fr Steven
