Book Club

The next meeting will be held on Monday 29 May at 7:30pm in the Parish Centre.

The book selected for this meeting is Victory City by Salman Rushdie.

Victory City is framed as a fictional translation of an epic tale originally written in Sanskrit. It tells of a woman who breathes a fantastical empire into existence. It was published this year.

Caritas will be holding a High Tea at 2pm on Saturday 27 May with a speaker from Mona Vale Palliative Care Unit.

We will be asking for donations for this facility on the day.

May Op Shop

Hurrah! St. John's Op Shop will once more be held on Saturday May 6 from 8am till noon, corner of Oaks Avenue and Avon Road in Dee Why.

Once more at this special time of year, we have some very lovely Mothers' Day gifts, including jewellery, crystal, collectibles, antiques, fine china and our ever growing array of plants.

This is all in addition to our usual bargains with toys, shoes, bags, clothes, bric a brac, books, pictures, DVDs, manchester and kitchenware.

We hope to see you there - fingers crossed that the weather stays as glorious as it currently is!
